Today was very nice/productive/surprising.
I printed out my CV, I handed out 9 out of 10 copies and I have found myself a job on the first day of job-hunting! Not burning my bridges however, I will still consider the others if they call me. More about my newfound way of income later this week, when I will have spent my first day there.
Also, I'm in for a very sporty day tomorrow. There's a charity-fitness day at the University, and I'm joining, to burn that excess Holiday-fat. For all participants, FREE MASSAGE included. I admit, this was the true raison for me to join.
Last but not least, I got a gift to make this day even better...
I was waiting to cross a street in Soho.
When a Chinese couple approached me.
Asked me for directions.
They wanted to see the Big Ben.
Told them to jump on the Northern line.
And get off at Embankment.
They thanked me at least a thousand times.
And gave me a gift, for my health.
At least, I think they said.
A limited-edition special-stamped envelope.
From China, with Chinese words on it.
I was flattered.
I really hope they enjoyed their time at the Big Old Ben. This little gift from these endlessly joyful people makes me a bigger fan of the most die-hard tourists of all times.
A productive day, olé!
